Seems to me that Americans do now have a good reason to leave the USA.
Americans can expect price rises, a boycott of their products and sevices by countries worldwide and job losses.
USA has become pariah country in the minds of many folks worldwide, first for its policy in Gaza and secondly for its economic policy.
what you describe is going to happen in every country. The strong and the willing - free trade with the US - will survive. The EU as a whole will not if they continue as they are now. Maybe start to learn russian or search the tutors now..
Think about that and the New World order that is coming..
America has saved Europe from speaking a unified language twice, but this time they will not step in to help.

hydro, economics is not your strong point, is it? There are two dynamics at play here, further to the tariffs imposed foolishly by the USA.

1) Reciprocal tariffs - Those imposed by other counties (i.e. China 34%) will directly impact the price US consumers pay, but we buy little from the USA, and what does come from there I will now bycott.
2) Yes, inflationary impact will be global.

Trump has taken a sledgehammer to free trade. It appears he wants to foster US manufacturing again to replace cheap exports from overseas. It will never happen, as manufacturing costs in the US are too high, as they are in the UK.

"The EU as a whole will not if they continue as they are now." not sure where you got that one from, but you could eloborate to explain what you are trying to say...?

Ok, so you will stay where you are?
Twostep, I am very happy where I am, so yes I do plan to stay where I am.

However, the USA has chosen a complete idiot to lead their nation.
It is you who will have to live with the consequences of his actions, the price rises and the shame.
I will be boycotting American goods and services henceforth!

I would be interested in the demographics of those leaving the USA, but I have no insight into it.
I lefe home myself at 18 to go to college, and then left my home country at 20, never to return to live there again.
However, I can get back to where I came from if I hop on a flight and it is quite affordble.
For me I was never going to move outside Europe.
But for those from the USA, it must be tough moving to Europe or Spain.
I really don´t see the attraction.
There must be affordable places much closer to the USA that would be a more practical option than Europe.

There is no new world order.
What Trump and his mates are doing is essentially playing with the world stock markets for their own benefit. This will last a couple of years at most, once they've got what they can out of it they will stop playing this game and move to the next, crypto, oil, whatever.

What the world is doing wrong in my opinion is reacting exactly as they want, China retaliating and further devaluing orienatal markets was the perfect example. Trump and Musk must have been wetting themselves laughing when they saw that.
Other countries and markets are not reacting in such a kneejerk way and are planning to negotiate. This will still give Trump what he wants to a certain extent, because the markets have already reacted, but it will be a more tempered and measured gain for him and his team. Like any war, the negotiated settlement is the less painful than the absolute victory.

Trump is very clever and he will leave the White House significantly richer than he entered it, and it will be at our expense. All we can do is try to be almost as clever and limit it as much as possible and know that the next president is unlikely to continue with the policies which are simply self serving, and, again in my opinion, have no further political goals than personal financial gain.

Milei tried to be as clever in Argentina with his crypto scheme, and because he isn't as clever, made a great big balls up of it. Although he probably will still get away with it!

You are simply wronng, overandout!
Trump has overturned 80 years of trading rules, in one press conference.
Trump's tariffs upend 80-year-old world economic order, and it will cost us all - ABC News
Thanks for the article but I'm prepared to bet that I have already read far more about this (not just news articles) than you have and had more meetings with US and international lawyers, supply chain and finance experts about this than you have.
You are of course free to consider that I am wrong. The great thing about internet forums is that we can make whatever assertions we like, and the rest of the participants can choose who to believe.

You can brag as much as you like about what you know, what you read, who you speak to, if it plesaures your ego.
The thing about the internet is we can make any assertions we like, and there is no way to know if they are true, or not.
You seem to eager to blow your own trumpet, and equally belittle what I say.

I simple base my judgement on two fact, and they stand on their, without the need to resort to bogus claims to butter up my own ego...

1) Western counties are having to seriously re-evaluate their military spend, as Trump has it appears abandoned the west (and NATO).
2) Markets crashed owing to the unprecedented actions of Trump in relation to tariff rules that had governed internation trade for 80 years.

It is these events that have brought us to a new world order.

Incorrect. I have options and I choose.
