Hi All,

I have my brother in law who is based in Zim and wants his children to come and study in South Africa.

What would be the process for them

The children will be coming for primary school and will have to stay with their mother who is not working

They have the finances to live in SA and the father will continue with his business in Zim to take care of them.

they need to apply for Study visas from Zim, so they must whatever school they wish to enroll their children in and find out the process, once they have been offered a place they apply for visas, what visa does the mother have in RSA? Parents must get a right to reside here if their children have study visa, ordinarily, foreign parents must also have a legal right to reside here

Step 1: The children FIND a school in SA. That is they must apply for the school and get accepted.
Step 2: Apply study VISAs for the children at SA Embassy in Zim. Part of the requirements for a study visa is the documentation from the SA school they will be itted to, hence the need for step 1.

There is also a finances test, as part of the requirements. Since the mother will not be working, then someone needs to be the sponsor for the study visas and demonstrate financial means.
