Is there any specific reason you want your baby to be born in South Africa? Considering that the child will not automatically become a South African citizen by just being born in South Africa.

 

Thank you for your response. Yes, I understand that my baby will not automatically become a South African citizen by birth. My reasons for choosing South Africa for childbirth are mainly due to the availability of quality healthcare, good maternity care in private and general hospitals, and a comfortable environment for my husband and me during this important time.



Additionally, we are looking for a place where my husband and I can both feel safe and welcomed while preparing for our child’s arrival. If there are any recommendations or advice on good hospitals, visa requirements, or short-term accommodation options, I would really appreciate it.
