The area of Paphos called Universal probably fits the bill for what you’ve described as your ideal. It’s residential, quiet enough and yet it’s also easy walking distance to the harbour, the nightlife and a whole host of tavernas and restaurants.

We are probably going to look in the range of 300k to 1000K euro unless we see something spectacular.

A company called LEPTOS has been in touch showing some villas/apartments in what looks like gated communities.

Does anyone have any experience to share with LEPTOS?

Also, does anyone have any thoughts on life in gated community compared with OPEN - pros and cons?

Might be good to read reviews above. Personally I see fewer people from this part of the world move there for obvious reasons.
