I met a Japanese woman 'in her 50s and who is still my girlfriend'-this was about 2years ago. She is from Hiroshima. I suggested to her to move to Osaka which she agreed to and she has been living alone in an apartment here in Osaka.
She is still legally married and hasn't seen her husband for 16years -he left her after a big argument and he is now with a new partner .she doesn't know where he is and she cannot him either.
She wants to get divorced so she will try to get a divorce using a lawyer this year .
She's told me that their marriage is broken and he is the one who left her .
First question:
I'm concerned about my situation regarding the law whether the husband could take action and sue me ?
Second issue -
I had a female friend who I had known for about 3years .
Without my girlfriend knowing I confided in this this woman about my girlfriend gealousy and her husband s behaviour as well as my girlfriend manipulative character . .. I also sent her a photo of my girlfriend 's husband's house using an app which my girlfriend took when she went back to see her son and parents ; she sent the photo to my line app at that time
I trusted this woman and she seemed concerned about me because my girlfriend is still legally married.
Unlucky for me,this female friend works at the same place where my girlfriend works but in a different section ; My girlfriend has been working there for just over a year since moving to Osaka.
Once I realised this, I told my female friend not to tell anyone and to keep it secret about the things that I told her ,but she didn't . She told a few colleagues about her and also showed the photo of her husband' s house and all this has got back to my girlfriend, and naturally my girlfriend got very angry at me which I can understand. She still gets annoyed about it and complains repeatedly for a long time .She also warned my female friend at the time to keep out of her private life and since then things have improved . However, while at work my girlfriend is still paranoid and thinks that my female friend is talking about her which is stressful for her . I also broke off my friendship with this woman.
Another thing that concerns me is that my girlfriend did say at the time when she was angry that she could approach my employer and tell them what I did as well as tell other private things about me in retaliation to what I had done to her .I don't think she will do this now but I'm worried she may when I decide to break off our relationship.
Second question:
Does she have the legal right to do this ,and
can I be sued for defamation?
I am planning to break off the relationship as it is very stressful for me therefore one option I have is to relocate without her knowing and changing my phone too.
But she knows where I work which I'm worried about.
Third question:
If she does start stalking me is threre any action I could take ?
Any advice would
be greatly appreciated.
