Hey guys! I'm currently a second year, full-time student in university. I live in the states. I'm highly considering moving to after I graduate with a Bachelors in Cybersecurity. I have a spouse and a pet dog. I'm currently doing my research on what I need to do to have a smooth transition to in around 2-4 years.

Additionally, I've calculated the cost of living, and am starting to save up so that I'm able to sustain myself for the first few months as I look for a job in the area I plan on moving to (which I'm still deciding).

If anyone has any tips or concerns, please reach out!

Are you planning on going the Opportunity Card path? Otherwise your plan to move first then find a job may not be realistic, especially work permit-wise.

I highly recommend to start learning German now, i you have not started, yet. The IT job market is getting tighter and visa sponsorships for candidates without German language skills are getting more difficult to obtain.

 

Apart from a difficult language, the salaries are lousy compared to the US. Don't do it unless you somehow get sent by a US company on US salary.

 

No work experience and a degree with a flux of programs and graduates will make it very difficult. Finding rental with a dog is a needle in the haystack project. What is the plan regarding the spouse?
