Yes it was rejected. Reason was o didn't submit proof of cohabitation, and shared financial responsibilities thats is 5years old and more.
But i did submit all those documents, i believe that reason for my rejection was because i didn't have a valid Residence Permit at the time my application was processed but in actual fact i already applied for renewal since 2022.then the PRP outcome was on 2023.
is that long ? are you married ? do your wife as your surname ? do your TRV is 11.6 ?
 
For what it's worth: I submitted my 26(b) spousal PR application in March 2019 and I'm happy to announce I picked up my approved permit on Friday. After waiting for five years I enlisted the help of an attorney's office in Cape Town, who sent a letter of demand. This made all the difference for me, and got the application moving again.
